Documentaries in Production Spotlight: "Native Past, American, Present"

Production began in Fall of 2009 on the the documentary "Native Past, American Present". This film will tell the story of three Native communities and their attempts to hold on to their history, culture, identity and language.

Much of the first part of the film was filmed in Kake, Alaska and Sitka, Alaska. The other two parts will be filmed in Minnesota and the American Southwest.

There were several interviews that took place throughout the production that may not make the final cut of the film but I feel are important portraits of Native American life in the 21st life. These "shorts" will be available on this website.
